LGBTQ+ and Students
Although I am by no means limited to working solely with students or LGBTQ+ clients and welcome people from all walks of life, these are groups/communities that I feel passionate about supporting and giving back to. Therefore I offer concession rates. Please see ‘Fees’ page for more information or click below .

For the past couple of years, I have worked as a trainee counsellor offering support for the LGBTQ+ community, and I have loved it. As a member of the community myself, I understand the importance of having a space that is judgement free, where you don’t have to explain your queerness and can simply be yourself with someone who ‘get’s it’. I believe that support for queer people is so important when living in a heteronormative society, where many of us don’t feel accepted, and therefore I offer concession rates. Whether it’s support around coming out, transitioning, internalised homophobia, identity exploration, or any other life challenges you wish to untangle with another queer person, I aim to offer a safe space where we can explore this together.

Due to the large student population in Brighton, and having experienced moving away for university myself, I feel passionately about the importance of having a safe space to explore yourself during this transformative time. For many people, it can be the first time leaving home, family, and the place they were raised. With this can come isolation and loneliness, but also freedom and a chance to learn who you are. For many, it can be one of the first opportunities to begin being themselves without the pressures or expectations from home. To make counselling more accessible for students, I therefore offer a handful of concession slots.
